A city-block in the middle of Paradise Valley and Scottsdale that is undeveloped. Rumored to be previously owned by Sinclair Oil, the current developer vied for an opportunity to build here. After finally persuading the owner to part with the property, the owner disappeared for a few months. Rumor has it, the owner would only sell if he felt the use of the property would positively impact the town of Paradise Valley.
Bill Marriott got his hands on the property before the developer did as he was friends with the property owner. The developer quickly won the spirit of Mr.Marriott and purchased the property with the caveat that a Ritz-Carlton development was to be built. And here, a few years later, we have approved plans for an exceptional project that will enhance and excite the town of Paradise Valley, and city of Scottsdale.
